Day 1: ARRIVAL

  • Upon arrival at NJP Train Station or Bagdogra Airport, you'll be greeted and transferred to Phuentsholing, a bustling commercial hub on the northern edge of the Indian plains. The drive covers approximately 170KM and takes about 5 hours. Check into your hotel on arrival and spend the night in Phuentsholing.

Day 2: PHULENTSHOLING - THIMPU

  • After breakfast, complete the necessary immigration formalities before heading to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The journey is around 176KM and takes roughly 6 hours. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax for the night in Thimphu.

Day 3: THIMPHU FULL DAY SIGHTSEEING

  • Start your day with breakfast and then explore Thimphu. Visit the outer view of Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue), a local Hindu Temple, and the National Memorial Chorten (outer view). Enjoy a short 40-minute hike to Wagdi Tse Lhakhanag. In the afternoon, explore the Nunnery, BBS Tower, National Library, and Centenary Farmer Market for local handicrafts and products. In the evening, view the outer facade of Tashichhoe Dzong and explore Craft Bazar for shopping. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4: THIMPHU - PUNAKHA

  • After breakfast, drive to Punakha/Wangdue, covering a distance of approximately 77 kilometers in about 3 hours. En route, stop at Dochu-La Pass (3150 meters), where, on clear days, you can see the Himalayan mountain ranges. In the afternoon, visit Punakha Dzong (entry fee: 500), built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. It served as the seat of government until the time of the second king and remains the winter residence of the monastic body. Enjoy a leisurely evening and overnight stay in Punakha.

Day 5: PUNAKHA - PARO

  • After breakfast, drive to Paro, covering approximately 128KM in about 4 hours. Along the way, visit scenic spots including the riverside, Bonday Zangthophelri, and enjoy views of the Paro Airport. Explore Ta Dzong (National Museum), which boasts a fine collection of arts, relics, and religious thangka. Also, visit Rinpung Dzong (outer view), meaning "fortress of the heap of jewels." Spend the evening at leisure and enjoy your overnight stay in Paro.

Day 6: EXCURSION TO CHELE-LA-PASS

  • Following breakfast, embark on an excursion to Chele-La-Pass, the highest motorable road in Bhutan. Enjoy the breathtaking views and landscapes from the pass before returning to Paro. In the evening, experience Bhutanese traditional dress and shop in town. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Paro.

Day 7: PARO TO PHUENTSHOLING

  • After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer back to Phuentsholing. The drive is approximately 141KM and takes about 5 hours. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 8: PHUENTSHOLING TO SILIGURI/BAGDOGRA AIRPORT/NJP RAILWAY STATION - DEPARTURE

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to NJP Train Station or Bagdogra Airport for your departure. The journey covers about 170KM and takes approximately 5 hours.
